Dr. Fran Clairmont started Abington Dental Associates in 1990 on Lincoln Boulevard in Abington. Her dream was to offer high quality dental healthcare to the families of Abington and the surrounding communities in a gentle thoughtful manner. In order to achieve these goals, Dr. Clairmont believed in the importance the integration of health care. Research has repeatedly shown that our dental health directly impacts our overall health and one cannot separate the oral cavity form the rest of the body when addressing disease. Dr. Clairmont's experience in Hospital Dentistry at the Brigham and Women's Hospital was valuable in establishing a dental practice that recognizes the impact of the relationship between dentistry and medicine. In 1993 the practice moved to our present location at 673 Bedford Street, Abington, MA next to Compass Medical, a highly recognized multispecialty medical group that extends from Braintree to Taunton. From the moment our doors opened, the sole objective was to provide our patients with the high quality care. Other specialists such as Orthodontist, Dr. Frank Antonellis, and  Periodontist, Dr. Carlos Abboud, share in these goals and have joined our practice. In addition, Dr. Young Son and Dr. Paula Wolfort have joined Abington Dental Associates.

Together, we strive to stay abreast of the latest technology in the field of dentistry, so that we can always offer you the latest and most current information and services.

Our office is completely digital with digital x-rays and a digital Planmeca ProMax Panarex machine that even offers TMJ and Bitewing views. In addition to the high quality information provided by this new technology, the patient is now exposed to significantly less radiation. This is an important consideration as radiation exposure is cumulative.

Our records are now entirely electronic. Patient information and data are completely confidential and protected.

Our operatories offer overhead monitors for viewing radiographs, Patient Education, or TV shows for patient comfort and relaxation.

We are dedicated to providing our patients with prompt, professional and friendly care in the gentlest manner. Abington Dental Associates Support Staff make every effort to address Emergency care as soon as possible.
