Meet Shivani Shirgavi, DMD
Dr. Shivani Shirgavi fell in love with the Boston area after graduating from college, and since then she has become firmly established in our friendly local community. Her kind, caring, sunny nature and gentle touch are extremely reassuring for our families and younger patients.
Dr. Shirgavi is especially passionate about preventative dental care and finds it extremely rewarding when she can help children and adults understand their dental health and the positive effect of good dental health can have on general health.
When not caring for her patients, Dr. Shirgavi can frequently be found at the Quincy Animal Shelter. As a committed animal lover, Dr. Shirgavi volunteers at the shelter every weekend. She also enjoys arts, music, and loves traveling or relaxing with a good book.
Dr. Shirgavi graduated with her degree in dentistry from VS Dental College in Mumbai, India, before completing her Advanced Standing Program at Boston University School of Dental Medicine.
Meet Frank Schiano, DMD
Dr. Schiano is a specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He completed his orthodontic training at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2018. Prior to returning to residency, Dr. Schiano was a Clinical Assistant Professor at Boston University and practiced and taught general dentistry for almost a decade.
His service to the community goes unmatched. Dr. Schiano worked tirelessly for over five years to help form the Boston District of the Massachusetts Dental Society. A 2010 graduate of the MDS Leadership Institute, he was awarded the Massachusetts Dental Society’s “10 Under Ten” Award in 2011. He also received the 2011 American Dental Association’s Award for International Service for his leadership in Project Stretch, an international pediatric dental service organization, of which he is an active Board member. In 2014, Dr. Schiano was named one of four MDS “William McKenna Volunteer Heroes”.
When not spending time at the office with his patients, Dr. Schiano enjoys yoga, going to the movies, and eating good food with his closest family and friends.
Dr. Robert Stoddard
Dr. Robert Stoddard prides himself on providing excellent care to his patients and truly enjoys providing compassionate dentistry that prioritizes patient needs and health. He has extensive experience in all facets of dentistry, including all restorative and cosmetic care as well as laser therapy and sleep medicine.
He is passionate about staying at the cutting edge of dental technology and continuously builds on his extensive education with programs across the northeast. Before dental school, Dr. Stoddard was in the army for three years and then earned his DMD at the Boston University School of Dentistry.
Outside of the office, Dr. Stoddard raises bees, and loves to paint, write and is interested in farming.
Dr. Robert Geary
Dr. Robert Geary comes from the local beach town of Hull, Massachusetts, known to many as Nantasket Beach. Dr. Geary is one of 3 siblings and was the first of his immediate family to earn a Bachelors Degree. During his undergraduate coursework he participated in and continues to be involved with volunteer and outreach activities through the St. Rock Haiti Foundation based in Milton. His undergraduate education was complimented with research related to the ethics of genetic technologies as well as research in instrumental analysis as it pertains to the detection of environmental toxins. Through his combined love of science, working with his hands on the weekends with his father, and making connections with people, the choice to pursue a career in dentistry was an easy one.
After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Bridgewater State University with a BS in Chemistry and Minor in Philosophy, he went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. During his time at Tufts Dr. Geary spent a considerable amount of time focused on public health initiatives and helping his peers through tutoring. He graduated Honus Civicus and also received the Presidential Award for Civic Life.
Dr. Geary went on to complete a General Practice Residency at The University of Vermont Medical Center. His experience in the residency provided him with exposure and advanced education in complex restorative dentistry, extractions, root canals, radiation therapy management, full mouth rehabilitation treatment and planning, implant treatment planning, emergency dental and alveolar trauma management, and exposure to special needs patients and operating room procedures/dentistry. Dr. Geary is passionate about all aspects of dentistry, but particularly loves working with the special needs community.
During his off time Dr. Geary enjoys playing and performing music, being outdoors, reading, and spending time with his family and friends. Born and raised in New England, Dr. Geary is excited to be back on the South Shore and looks forward to living out his dream of helping others through his acquired knowledge.
